A1 Non Combustible Products

In accordance with Approved Document B Volume 2 (2019 edition incorporating 2020/22 amendments), combustible materials have been banned in and on the external walls of buildings in the following instances;

• Residential Buildings over 11m (England & Wales)
• Recreational & Assembly Buildings over 18m
• Buildings over 11m (Scotland)
• Any buildings undergoing unsafe cladding remediation work

The fire resistance classification criteria for construction products is detailed in BS EN 13501w+ A1:2018 and includes a list of products (European Commission 96/603/EC) which, under specified conditions, can be considered to be class A1 without testing. Galvanized steel achieves a fire class A1 rating without the need for testing. This material maintains its strength at elevated temperatures, (melting point range of 1450-1520°C). Classified as A1, it is defined as non-combustible.

Airbrick

ResiBRICK™ A1 Airbricks are available in 5 sizes, including Single, Single XL, Double, Triple and Quad.  The A1 airbricks match UK brick sizes and offer high free area performance up to 58,050mm2.  5 Standard RAL colours. Independently tested by BRE.

Fire Rated

ResiBRICK™ A1 is manufactured with intumescent rated sealant which is visible, and applied externally & internally to seal all seams. Reaction to fire Class E EN13501-1. Resistance to fire Classified in accordance with EN 13501-2.

Duct Transition

ResiBRICK™ A1 Transition kits are standard 600mm long with a 11 duct size transition options from 204x60mm up to 400x125mm in rectangular and 125mm to 250mm circular. (bespoke legnths available on request)

Ready to connect 

ResiBRICK™ A1 Airbrick and ducting trantision kits are supplied site ready for easy connection to internal ductwork.  Depending on duct size, the connector will be PVC or metal (ractangular kits only)
